MEETINGS

The kick-off meeting of MethCell project took place via teleconference on the 18th of November 2019. Due to pandemic measures and travel restrictions, the project partners regularly communicated via e-mail and teleconferences (semi-annual) to exchange views and brief on the progress of the project.

Project Description

The main target of the MethCell project is to develop a functional reformed methanol fuel cell by combining and achieving three main research objectives:
(i) New generation Intermediate temperature molten proton conductor electrolyte membranes,
(ii) highly efficient methanol reforming catalysts operations at 200-250oC,
(iii) low cost, corrosion resistant, metal bipolar plates.
